



Personal Mission: I am passionate about musical expression. My personal mission is to provide opportunities where creativity, community and connection can thrive through music for people of all ages. Music has been a blessing in my life and I share that blessing through the music programs I provide and choirs I direct. I strive to create a fun, informal, musically rich social music classes and group singing groups that support varied learning styles and abilities (children, youth and adults). It is my hope that my positive and encouraging spirit will get everybody involved and experiencing the benefits and joy of musical expression in their life!

Creating a Life of Music - Musician, MusicTeacher, Choir Director, Camp Leader. Band Member and Entertainer: After a 20 year career in marketing and technology, Music Kate made the decision to make her life about music – full time. After identifying her life’s mission, Kate start teaching early childhood music as part of the Music Together licensed family music-making program dedicated to creating music families with young children, ages infant to age 5 in the Music Together program that she introduced to Bozeman. Her choir directing and song leading experience includes the Groovin’ Spirits Choir at Pilgrim Church (since 1999) and the Singing Souls Senior Sing Along (since 2008). In addition to teaching, Kate leads the GirlSing Singing, Songwriting and Art Summer Camp (GirlSing.com). Kate recently retired from teaching Music Together and is now dedicating more of her time to creating Sing Along opportunities for Seniors and for other themed community gatherings.Experience, Kate is also known around Bozeman for her interactive story-telling of Dr. Seuss "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (performed in costume from memory).
Experience & Qualifications: Over the years, Kate has been a singer in multiple ensembles and bands including the Combustion Chamber Singers, Calliope Women’s Choir, Voodoo Hotdogs with Sweet Relish, DupliKates, Kate & The AlleyKats, the Treble Makers and The Boomerangs. She performs for special events, community events, nonprofit fundraisers and private parties. Kate has been a musician and singer her entire life. She participated in and has directed multiple choirs for over the past 20 years. She plays multiple instruments including guitar, banjolele, clarinet, percussion/drums, penny whistle/recorder, drums and percussion. She is a classically trained clarinetist with jazz improvisational skills.

BA (Industrial & Management Engineering - Montana State University) where she dedicated significant time and energy toward Music Performance (Clarinet), classical small-group ensembles and participated in symphonic band and filled in as a clarinetist with the Bozeman Symphony.

MA (Journalism ad Mass Communications with a Minor in Entrepreneurial Studies - University of Minnesota.

Trained as a Music Together Center Director and Teacher at the Center fo Music & Young Children in Princeton, New Jersey.
